About Us
What is Ci?
Ci is a Sustainability Marketing Consultancy and think tank established in 2003.
We look through the lens of sustainability to uncover opportunities that deliver on business priorities.
Looking at all components of sustainability - of which green is only one - we partner with leading brands to help define and tell their sustainability stories.
How to work with us.
We are very much focused on process, not outcome. Focus on the outcome and you get the same result for different clients, every time. Inspired by our research and the understanding that culture, marketplace and consumers are constantly changing we embrace innovation and the knowledge that although we may not know where we are going, we know how to get there.
Here’s where we add value and tailor our services to your specific needs:
- Strategic Initiatives: Selection, integration and prioritization.
- Brand Strategy: Focus, positioning, potential values and connection, brand specific insight.
- Sustainability Positioning: Determine the brand’s sustainability sweet spot – what happens at that place where brand positioning and business initiatives connect with ‘sustainability’
- Marketing Communications: Given your initiatives around sustainability and social responsibility, determine what to communicate, to whom and how.
- Product design and development: Insight, inspiration and direction
It's more than a name - it's what we stand for.
Ci stands for Conscientious Innovation. The name came from the first series of research Ci founders did on consumers and sustainability in 2000. They realized there was something very interesting going on culturally and predicted an overall shift in people's relationship with lifestyle, brand relationships and purchase decisions. It was a shift based on an evolved set of values: social responsibility and integrity.
From research conducted with thought leaders and trendsetters in various industries from marketing and business to art and fashion groups, we uncovered that there were two distinct qualities that defined the group:
- They lived and died on innovation; and
- Being conscientious was increasingly important to them and reflected in their every day choices.
